Iroko Art Days For You & Your Loved Ones!

Bev Amaechi, co owner and artist at Iroko is excited to launch a series of art workshops at Iroko, Art and Wine Bar, Calle Malaga, 11, 29650, Malaga.

Make your own vibrant sunrise or sunset
Venue: Iroko, Calle Malaga, 11. Mijas Pueblo, 29650
Thursday 19th June 3.30p.m. to 6p.m. – Brighten up your day by making your own vibrant sun on canvas, with colourful African fabrics from various parts of Africa. All materials provided, with a complimentary glass of wine and cheese.

Creative collaging – make your own unique cards using paper and fabrics.

Thursday 26th June 3.30p.m. to 6p.m.

You will make your own special occasion cards with colourful paper and patterned fabrics (including envelopes), so you won’t need to rush out and buy friends and family cards. All materials provided, with a complimentary glass of wine and cheese.

Batik Art Class– understanding and exploring the basic techniques
Venue: Iroko, Calle Malaga, 11. Mijas Pueblo, 29650
Thursday 3rd July 3.30p.m. to 6p.m.

Batik is a traditional fabric art form that involves decorating cloth using wax and dye. Originating in Indonesia, batik has become a global symbol of cultural expression and creativity. A beginner’s batik class introduces students to this beautiful and intricate art form through step-by-step instruction and hands-on practice.

Macramé classes throughout July and August 10a.m. to 12 noon @ Iroko
Guest artist and local resident Geraldine Nelson will be running Macramé classes in Iroko throughout July and August 2025. Macramé is a crafting technique that uses knots in cording, threading, yarn, or textiles to create various objects.
