Bev Amaechi
Hi, I’m a mixed media artist and love trying out new techniques and sharing thoughts and ideas with other artists. I’ve been developing my collaging and printmaking over the last two years, but also have delved into ceramics and stained glass, and am currently working on a large mosaic glass piece for Iroko.

I’m always happy to discuss art commissions for your personal space and provide bespoke art workshops so you can try out some of the techniques I practise, from collage with vibrant African fabrics, to batik art, mono jelly printing and more.

I studied a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art in Bristol, UK in the early 90’s and through my working life have been involved in many community arts projects, working with children, young people and adults to support them to be creative. I believe that we all have artistic and creative ideas and talents within us and get a buzz from seeing people create, who rarely or never give time to making art.
I love starting with a theme and seeing how it changes into something I never expected, giving a thousand more possibilities to consider!
You can view a selection of my artwork since living in Mijas, using acrylic paints with some African fabrics, mono printing with collage. During the covid pandemic, I found this technique very therapeutic and relaxing and encourage you to join one of my classes and give it a go. No experience necessary!
